March 27, 2007 "I want to thank you for the input and assistance given to me to accomplish the goals achieved with the Circuit Master project. Over the past year I have monitored the hydro use at the waste water treatment plant where we installed 10 Circuit Master 305 units. The outcome was that we saved 350,000 KWH compared to the previous year while utilizing an extra 75hp motor. This equated to $28,000 based on an eight cent kwh. This, coupled with the incentive we received through the Essex Power Lines Demand management program made the project quite attractive. The payback was approximately 1.5 years including installation. It was also noted that the motors ran cooler and quieter with the reduced KVARS, which should equate to extended longevity. The focus on power saving has increased dramatically with the volatility of the utility costs. The trend of correcting power at the source has proven to have great impacts on energy savings more-so than previous years with bulk capacitors. At our facility, several other projects are being identified and approved based on the above outcome. This is expanding to the other locations within the Carriere group."
